1. Salesforce.org is different from Salesforce.com

Unpopular, but very useful and philantropic Salesforce.org helps Nonprofits and Higher-End educational institutions to obtain CRM and better manage their donations and activities. The products are similar to Salesforce.com offerings, however are built specifically for nonprofit institutions.

 

2. The 1-1-1 model started with Marc Benioff

Marc Benioff created the 1-1-1 model after a spiritual trip to India and since then rises funds and donates to many organisations and causes. It is based on giving 1% of Salesforce.com equity, 1% of their employee time, and 1% of the product to form the Salesforce.org and help organisations to manage better their customer relationships.The model is adopted by small and big companies, among which Yahoo, Yelp and Glassdoor.

 

3. Salesforce has provided over $128+ million in grants

Salesforce.com cares about communities and driven by Marc Benioff and the Salesforce Foundation, the company provided millions of dollars and hours to causes, nonprofits and institutions. Actually, Marc Benioff and his wife Lynne Benioff are known for donating extraordinary sums to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. The latest one amounts to $100 million.

 

4. Salesforce.com will enable the creation of 1.9 million jobs

According to a research conducted by IDC, “worldwide, Salesforce.com and its ecosystem will enable the creation of 1.9 million jobs within the Salesforce customer base from the use of cloud computing between the end of 2015 and the end of 2020.

During this same time frame, Salesforce.com and its ecosystem will enable the creation of more than 2.8 million indirect jobs, or those jobs created in the supply and distribution chains serving Salesforce customers, as well as from new company employees spending money in the general economy.”

 

5. Salesforce Dreamforce is the largest software conference on Earth

It is a week-long conference focused on cloud technologies and Salesforce through an expo, many sessions, trainings and highly ranked speakers. It gathers thousands of people and companies from all sizes around the globe in San Francisco, USA. 6. Salesforce Developers meetups currently have 47,567 members across 187 meetups worldwide
