What is common between architect with an interest in cultural heritage, Associate Professor, Doctor of Entrepreneurship, a dentist, a deputy minister in the Ministry of Environment and Waters, a MA in Political Science, a PhD in computer science, an economist at the Institute for Market Economics, a consultant and facilitator for innovation and expert in the field of software robots?
All of them will participate in the Innovation Camp, which takes place in Gabrovo from 1 to 3 October. The event is supported by the President Rosen Plevneliev and President of the Committee of the Regions of the EU Markku Markkula, the Regional Information Center – Gabrovo and the MEPs Eva Paunova and Andrey Novakov.
Gabrovo Innovation Camp 2016 is cost-free and is open for people above the age of 17, with desire to develop creative ideas into innovative societal solutions and will include up to 60 participants. The organizers will provide accommodation and daily subsistence for the participants.
Gabrovo Innovation Camp 2016 will end up with a plenary session for demonstration and assessment of the developed ideas/prototypes. Prizes will be given and each participant in Gabrovo innovation Camp 2016 will receive a certificate.
The working language of the Camp is English.
Gabrovo Innovation Camp 2016 aims to develop the culture of innovativeness. It needs to be installed in the society by all its driving forces. Considering this, the camp participants are expected to be people with disposition to innovate, ready to collaborate, with active imagination and creative thinking. In a proper working environment, guided by mentors, the participants’ teams will search for innovative solutions to societal issues, defined in the three camp challenges. The teams will work as self-organized groups, which are to produce a solution as an outcome. The solution is to be a practical idea, tackling a specific societal issue. It will contain the shared understanding of the team, will have the potential of a rapid realization and transferability to new settings.
